Children’s Ministries Coordinator

Church is seeking a
creative and spirit-led, part-time Children’s Ministries Coordinator. This
position requires a clear spiritual calling to this area of ministry and an
ability to bring the children of the congregation closer to God. Our God given
vision is: We are a Christ-centered church growing in God’s Word, committed to
prayer and healing, nurturing family, and serving community.
Position Description
The Children’s Ministries Coordinator (CMC) should be a
gifted leader capable of recruiting and coordinating adult volunteers to
maintain and grow programming activities for children to experience the love of
Jesus Christ. You will lead, develop, and manage
ministry programs for the children (infant to 5th grade) of
Huntertown United Methodist Church (HUMC).
HUMC currently has about 40 Children attending programming activities on Sunday
mornings. The CMC will be proficient in organizing, communicating with,
and leading our volunteers. The ideal candidate will exhibit a spiritual focus,
a dynamic personality, an ability to direct and relate well with a variety of
ages, and the desire to grow the Children’s ministries programming at HUMC. Collaboratively
working with the pastor and ministry directors is vital to this position.
Children’s Ministries Leadership

Manage and direct
Children’s programming on Sunday mornings.

Train, nurture, and
develop adult and youth leaders from among the Congregation to execute
programming activities related to Children’s Ministries.

Manage budget and
expenses to support HUMC Children’s programming.
·
Plan and execute
current ministry programs while working with the youth and adult volunteer leaders
to maintain age appropriate activities for all youth that promote community
through fellowship, fun, spiritual growth and Christian discipleship.

Grow ways that
children will participate in the community of faith.
·
Plan and execute
Vacation
Bible
School
program for Preschool-5th grade children (usually held in June)
Professional Qualifications
·
Professing an outward commitment to Christ
·
Effective organizational and communication
skills
·
Demonstrated experience in Children’s ministries
leadership is preferred
This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of 16
hours per week. Compensation is $13.25/hour with no additional benefits.
